Safety Decking

G & M Safety Netting Ltd are committed to providing safe working conditions for the construction industry.  To meet this requirement we have developed a new lightweight working platform to allow operatives to work at high level in complete safety.

Ultimate Safety Protection

The G & M Safe Deck provides an exceptionally safe platform for working at height.  Its unique design and manufacture exceed the current safety regulations and standards laid down by the UK Health and Safety Executive.  The platforms have undergone stringent testing at all stages from design to manufacture and can be loaded to 2Kn.  Its profiled non-slip surface improves grip and its bright orange colour is highly visible, reducing the risk of accidents.  Specially designed feet and locking pins provide a stable support for the decking panels.

Quick and Easy to use

Using just 4 components, G & M Safe Deck is quick and easy to install providing a cost effective solution to safely working at height.  G & M Safe Deck platforms use only four legs allowing easy access underneath and still allow the platform to be loaded to 2 Kn.

Versatile – can be fitted in any area

The injection moulded HDPE  platforms come in several sizes and we can offer three leg heights to enable the system to be tailored to your requirements.

Installed by trained erectors

G & M Safe Deck is installed by our own trained and highly professional erectors to ensure complete customer satisfaction.  The Safe deck can also be supplied on a hire only basis and its simplistic erection procedures make for easy installation.

Training

G & M Safe Deck exceeds Health & Safety Executive standards; it is the only safety platform that has been been tested to all three standards, namely:
• BS 5973:1993 Code of Practice for access and working scaffolds
• BS EN 12811-1:2003 Temporary Works Equipment Part 1 Scaffolds, performance requirements and general design
• ACR (M) 001:2005 Test for Fragility of Roofing Assemblies

Test for Fragility of Roofing Assemblies ACR (M) 001:2005

G & M Safe Deck was tested by CERAM at ambient temperature, at 40oC and at -20oC. The CERAM Test is a practical test, not a computer analysis.

Soft Body Impact Test

G & M Safety Deck achieved Class A non-fragile panel.

Uniformly Distributed Load Test

G & M Safe Deck achieved 2.0 kN/m2 Uniformly Distributed Load (UDL) on a 1metre square platform supported on only four legs. (Other products use additional legs or bracing to achieve the same UDL). G & M Safety Deck performance allows it to be categorised under BS 5973 as suitable for masonry or heavy duty, allowing the platform to be loaded out for ‘masonry work, concrete blockwork and very heavy cladding’.

Point Load Test

G & M Safety Deck achieved 1.75 kN/m2 (equivalent to 175Kg over a single footprint). In additional tests the panel sustained a load of 200Kg over an area of 200 x 200mm without problem.
Under BS EN 12811-1:2003 the performance of G & M Safe Deck under both UDL and additional point loads over a 200 x 200mm area would indicate that it can be classed as Load Class 4

Durability

In addition to above, G & M Safe Deck is made of durable hard-wearing HDPE which is water, rot and UV-resistant, non-tear and resistant to damage by chemicals.
